When I realized I may have been obsessed, I:
-Started playing other games more often
-Deleted most of my PvE characters, and for the ones I didn't delete, made a commitment to only play on 2 of them from now on.
-Try not to play during the daytime unless I am in the middle of a new campaign or something.

You are aware that you can strive to earn nice things without being obsessed with Guild Wars. And are you aware that you can obtain nice things without spending alot of time on Guild Wars.
I play WoW now and I strive to earn nice things and have purchased nice things and I play at the maximum 7 hours a week. Lvling is slow though.

NOOOOOO!!! I... I just can't... -.-
Yeah... I won't lie and say I'm not addicted to GW. I sacrifice time that could be used to do other useful things such as reading or going out for a jog but I just don't seem to have the will to stop. Can I? Sure I can. Will I? I just won't.
I haven't gotten to the point where my social relationships are suffering from my addiction but I sure am facing the consequences such as... ahem... *cough* glasses *cough*. Honestly--I think I'm losing my vision. o.O
I think I started getting seriously addicted when I started PvPing.... <<
I want to thank you all though for opening my eyes if only slightly. I'll be sure to pay attention to the--er, what's it called?--clock from here on out. ^^

Wrong Pedro!
If you use the password thingy you can indeed make it acknowledge over the 24hr mark. As far as the shower thingy, I've never seen it and mine said that I had been online for 2days before I rebooted. It would boot me for inactivity but then auto loggin would reconnect me instantly and it would acknowledge the character screen as being online.

Can't say that I'm addicted.
Funny mini-story though, WoW started costing only 20$ to activate a new account (When did that happen?) and I finally went for it, only to get to about level 38 in the time frame of a month and becoming bored already. Not even any will to go two more levels and get a mount, I just went back to... drum roll...
Guild Wars.
I need to pop the program open though and hope to holy hellfire that it doesn't try repairing the data archive as always.
1,100 on my Mesmer over 13 months, and 1,800 hours across all characters. You can see who gets all the attention (and I'm one of the single-digit amount of people with Mesmer Fissure armor, in fact. Heh..).
Though I've gotta say, even a lot of that time has not been spent playing. For some reason, especially when you get to level 20, you lose a lot of drive to play (particularly Cantha and Elona, which offer you no skill rewards, and experience at level 20 is just as well as getting nothing at all for your effort).
I've idled at town and left my computer on overnight a few times, I'm sure. And just yesterday, a close friend and I spent five hours and didn't actually play one single bit, we just messed around in towns and such (far too many holiday goodies left over, look at the pretty colors!).

I actually played for 6 hours straight today..thats more then in the last month or so.
Can't say I was addicted but at one point I played 5+ hours a day. When Factions came out I pretty much stopped playing. Grabbed NF played that for a few weeks then packed it in again. Just started a new char in Chapter1 and I'm loving it again...for now.
Yeah like many people pointed out you're addicted but there is worse things to be addiccted to.

I'm not addicted to GW anymore... I was, but the game just seems boring now... When I go on the computer now, it's mostly to talk to my friends from GW over Vent and play Counter-Strike. Over the summer though, I played A LOT, and I realized it, so I stopped. A good way to stop is to just straight up give all of your gold away. It worked for me.
